A self does not amount to much, but no self is an island; each exists in a fabric of relations that is now more complex and mobile than ever before. Or better: one is always located at a post through which various kinds of messages pass.
Jean-François Lyotard
“The self is only a threshold, a door, a becoming between two multiplicities” Gilles Deleuze

This series of work explores these themes synthesized with ideas of quantum physics and mechanics. One important process in the making of these works is the burning of objects, artworks or prints of art, and turning the ash into paint pigment with which I make the paintings. This is a re-interpretation of the Hindu practice of ‘Antiyesti’.
